Gemelli Gelato Making Classes

We open the door to our state of the art Gelato Lab and offer you the only hands-on gelato making class in the Greater Philadelphia Area and beyond.

What to expect & what is included

I grew up in Northern Italy and opened Gemelli in 2014 to bring to America the lost tradition of crafting truly artisanal, Italian gelato and desserts completely from scratch with passion, professional skills and local, organic, farm-fresh ingredients.

No other Gelateria in the area works like I do at Gemelli, and that is why I decided to open my kitchen and educate my customers on how real, artisanal gelato is handcrafted and show you first hand the work and dedication needed to keep this old Italian tradition alive!

The experience includes:

  • An informative and entertaining 90-minute gelato class with Vincenzo, our professionally trained Italian Maestro & founder
  • Learn more about our real, artisanal Italian gelato, our ingredients, the balancing of flavors and the science behind frozen desserts
  • Work in pairs to create 2 fresh gelato flavors (each pair will work on both flavors, making an equal portion of each batch) completely from scratch, we do NOT use pre-made gelato powders or flavoring pastes like everybody else!
  • 2 pints per person of the gelato flavors made in class to take home and enjoy (a $24 value)

AGE LIMIT
Please note that this specific class is meant for an audience of 16 years and older as we do cover some frozen dessert science & ingredient properties.

Where and when our classes are held 

Classes are hosted on Thursdays from 7:30 to 9:00 PM in our Gelato Lab located at 12 West Market Street , West Chester PA 19382.

You can join a group alone, with friends or a significant other for a fun night out or we can arrange private classes for corporate team building activities, company outings, birthday culinary classes, bridal showers, bachelorette parties or just to surprise you loved one, family or friends.

How to reserve your spot/s in class

To reserve your spot/s in the class, full advanced payment via credit card is required:

Price per person is $50 and includes the 90-minute class plus 2 pints of the freshly made gelato (a $24 value). Feel free to bring a cooler to hold the gelato pints cold, especially if you have a long drive home.

Cancellation & Re-scheduling policy

Because of the nature of the event (once a class is sold out, we do not take any more reservations for that specific date) a full refund will be issued only if your reservation is cancelled at least 21 days (3 weeks) before the class scheduled date, cancellation can be made via phone or email. This will allow us enough time to re-start marketing for the event and hopefully find new attendees. 

We understand that life gets busy, therefore you will be able to re-schedule your class (to a future available date) up to 7 days (1 week) before your current class scheduled date. For groups of 3 or more, the deadline is 14 days (2 weeks). 

No-shows will forfeit their class and will not receive any refund.
